Telluride Jazz Festival reveals its 2019 artist lineup
One of our favorite summer festivals has announced its line up and unsurprisingly, it doesn't disappoint. Offering a mix of live jazz, funk, soul, and gospel performances from amazing artists including Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Lettuce, Robert Randolph & The Family Band and Victor Wooten Band Telluride Jazz Festival will take place in the picturesque mountain town from Aug. 9 -11.
"The city of New Orleans has always had an influence on the Telluride Jazz Festival earning a special place in our heart" said Steve Gumble, Festival Director. "I could not think of a better representative than Trombone Shorty to honor that legacy. This year, we're excited to be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Student All-Stars Program. Veronica Swift, a darling of the jazz world, returns to the lineup after getting her start here in Telluride years ago as a teenager in the Allstars Program. Once again, we are honored to present a very well-rounded artist line-up with a wide range of appeal to all generations."
Taking place in Telluride Town Park there will be a Main Stage along with an fee-free secondary stage, "Society Stage", which will host weekend programming including interactive artist and student band performances in the center of Telluride.
There will of course be VIP and Patron Festival Experiences on offer along with special events that include free morning yoga sessions, a free historical walking tour, a New Orleans 2nd Line Parade, cozy late night shows and more.
